TRAINING 2008

Training Course: Listening Skills

This practical session will be delivered by a qualified counsellor and will give you the opportunity to develop our listening skills.

Good listening skills are important in many roles, this course is particularly aimed towards people who are working in a health or care environment. In this course you will learn what good listening skills are, how you can be a more effective listener and how you can encourage people to talk and share their feelings. This is a practical course and you will have ample opportunity to practice these skills in a relevant setting.

Dates: Tuesday 13th May 2008, Tuesday 14th October 2008

Time: 1.00pm – 4.00pm

Fees: £30 p/p or £22 p/p for voluntary and community sector organisations and individuals (price includes training pack). Refreshments included. Bookings to be made at least 1 week prior to course date.

Venue: The Changing Room, 90 Commercial St, Batley, WF17 5DS

Training Course: What Is Depression?

This practical session will be delivered by support workers, with counselling skills and many years experience of working with people suffering from depression.

It will cover the following topics:-

Dates: Tuesday 15th April 2008, Tuesday 10th June 2008, Tuesday 16th September 2008

Time: 1.00pm – 4.00pm
